PreCanSkate and CanSkate up to Level 4
CanSkate is a dynamic learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. Based on Sport Canada’s long term athlete development (LTAD) principles, CanSkate centers on physical literacy and the fundamental skills needed to take part in any ice sport or to skate as a recreational activity.
Who’s it for?
Skaters wishing to improve their basic skills whether their focus be for figure skating, hockey, speed skating or just skating for fun.
Skater must be three years old and able to go on ice without a parent.
PreCanSkate: Thursdays from 3:30-4:00pm
CanSkate: Thursday from 3:15-4:00pm
October 12th 2023 - February 29th 2024
PreCanSkate Cost: $266.15 (includes Skate Canada fee $58.65 and registration fees $9.50)
CanSkate Cost: $285.85 (includes Skate Canada fee $58.65 and registration fees $10.20)

Upper CanSkate Level 5 & 6 (Rising Stars)

Upper Canskate focuses more on the upper levels 5 & 6 of the Canskate program.
Tuesdays from 3:15-3:45pm & Thursdays from 4:00-4:30pm
October 3rd - December 21st 2023, and January 9th - February 29th 2024
Cost: $371.92 (includes Skate Canada fee $ 58.65 and registration fees $13.27)
CSA approved Hockey Helmets are MANDATORY for this program. Ski and bike helmets are not permitted
Skills, Tests, Achievement, Recognition – this is what STARSkate is all about!
STARSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating. Unique in Canada, this program teaches figure skating skills in a group and/or private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner and includes specifically designed awards and incentives. Skaters have the opportunity to take Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system. Skaters who have mastered figure skating skills in STARSkate may also choose to pursue synchronized skating or pairs skating.
This season we are offering STAR 1 - Gold levels which will include both group and private lessons.
Star 1-3: Tuesdays from 3:15-3:45pm and 4:15-5:45pm & Thursdays from 4:00-6:15pm
Star 4-Gold: Tuesdays from 3:45-5:45pm & Thursdays from 4:30-6:15pm
October 3rd - December 21st 2023, and January 9th - February 29th 2024
Star 1-3 Cost: $500 split into two installments of $250 (plus Skate Canada fee $ 58.65 and registration fees)
Star 4-Gold Cost: Please inquire as this differs depending on amount of time skating. Must pay Skate Canada fee before stepping on the ice.
